Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Tokyo

Welcome to Japan! Upon arrival at Narita or Haneda International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Tokyo.

Day 2  Tokyo

Dive into Tokyo's ultimate pop culture experience with a twist! Start your day in Akihabara, geeking out over endless anime shops and maybe even stopping by a Maid Café for some quirky fun. Then, head over to Shibuya, where you can walk through the locations featured in the Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Incident Arc, including the famous Shibuya Crossing. After soaking in the anime vibes, grab some cool merch at the Pokemon Center and Nintendo Shop.

Day 3  Tokyo

Free day to explore on your own. Visit Ikebukuro to explore Animate’s endless floors of anime goodies and play some epic gaming at a game centers. You could also check out Sanrio Puroland and hang out with Hello Kitty and the friends. Or, if you are into something a bit more artsy, head over to teamLab and get lost in their mind-blowing digital art installations.

Day 4  Tokyo

Free day for your own activities! Whether you want to dive into the excitement of Comic Market, attend the Anime Japan, or check out the Tokyo Game Show, the day is yours to experience the best of Tokyo’s pop culture scene.

Day 5  Tokyo

Day 6  Tokyo > Hakone

Today you will dive into the scenic charm of Hakone, a place that holds a special connection to Neon Genesis Evangelion. Begin at Hakone Yumoto, where the traditional hot springs offer a tranquil escape reminiscent of the series’ backdrop. Continue to Owakudani, a volcanic area with dramatic steam vents and sulphurous landscapes that echo the anime’s intense scenes. At Lake Ashi, enjoy picturesque views with the iconic Hakone Shrine and, on clear days, a stunning glimpse of Mt. Fuji in the distance.

Day 7  Hakone > Kyoto

You will travel to Kyoto, arriving in this historic city filled with cultural treasures. Rest of the day is free for you to explore at your own pace. You might consider visiting Fushimi Inari, famous for its thousands of vibrant red torii gates that create a mesmerizing path up the sacred Mount Inari. Whether you choose to wander through this iconic shrine or explore other parts of Kyoto, the city offers endless opportunities for discovery.

Day 8  Kyoto

Step into the world of samurai and historical Japan with a visit to Toei Kyoto Studio Park. This unique theme park brings the Edo period to life with its traditional movie sets, where you can watch live action shows, explore exhibits, and even try on samurai and ninja costume. After soaking in the atmosphere of Japan’s cinematic past, head to the scenic Arashiyama district, where you can stroll through the famous bamboo groves and explore serene temples nestled in the lush landscape.

Day 9  Kyoto

Explore Kyoto at your own pace. For a blend of culture and creativity, you might start with a visit to the Manga Museum, where you can dive into Japan’s rich manga history. Then head to Kiyomizu Temple, where stunning views of the city await from its famous wooden stage and wander through the historic Gion area, where you can soak in the traditional atmosphere and perhaps catch a glimpse of a geisha.

Day 10  Kyoto > Osaka

Today you will travel to Osaka. Stroll through Shinsaibashi, a bustling shopping street known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse stores, or dive into the local food scene. For a unique experience, join a samurai workshop, where you can learn about traditional swordsmanship and the art of the samurai.

Day 11  Osaka

Free day to visit Universal Studio Japan.

Day 12  Depart Osaka

You will be transferred to Kansai or Osaka International airport for your onward flight.
